My color inspiration can come from anywhere. For example much of the Morphology series was inspired by an old package of goldfish crackers that we had in the house from when my daughter was a baby (Nellie was not a fan of the snack). Something about the orange of the little fish on the blue of the plastic plate really struck me, so I started to play and made a number of prints that I still love . I am still fascinated by the way that the orange and blue struggle with each other, unable to settle, but in the end each color only serves to increase the vibrancy of its opposite.

In the Morphology series I am exploring the nature of transition and change through the medium of color and form. The limited palettes and simple forms of this series are an invitation to consider the nature of change. To embrace its inevitability and power and even learn to love and appreciate its many stages.
